The UV lamp is affected by pathogenic microorganisms by two factors - UV radiation and ozone. UV radiation destroys in the wavelength range of 200-300 nm of the cells of pathogenic organisms. This phenomenon is used for the disinfection of liquids, air and gases from various microorganisms, yeasts and moulds, bacteria and viruses.
